Verifying the installation

This topic describes how to verify that the Microsoft IPMI device driver is installed correctly.

1. Click Start > Control Panel > System.
2. Select the Hardware tab.
3. Click Device Manager.
4. Click View > Show Hidden Devices.
5. Expand System devices.
   If the Microsoft IPMI device driver is installed correctly, a device named Microsoft Generic IPMI Compliant Device is displayed under System devices. For a multi-node configuration, a device named Microsoft Generic IPMI Compliant Device is created for each node.
