Components of the IBM Deployment Pack

The IBM Deployment Pack for Microsoft Configuration Manager 2007 includes an IBM® server configuration toolkit that provides the functionality necessary to configure IBM hardware components prior to deploying the operating system.

The IBM Deployment Pack is composed of:

An installation utility
IBM-specific drivers, agents, and firmware
Scriptable hardware configuration tools (available for the Windows® Preinstallation Environment (WinPE) operating system)
Sample configuration files used with the utilities, including sample Sysprep and Unatted.txt files
Scripts and batch files that run the utilities
Documentation for using the utilities

The IBM Deployment Pack contains Configuration Manager console extensions and custom task sequence actions. These user interface elements provide the custom actions that are available in the Task Sequence Editor and custom forms for creating sample task sequence templates.

IBM provides custom actions that are specific to IBM server hardware, drivers, updates to WinPE boot images, sample driver packages, and IBM server configuration toolkits.

Each IBM custom action includes one or more tabs that contain controls for configuring the options of the custom action.
