The ServerGuide Scripting Toolkit provides
sample Altiris jobs to perform operating system (OS) imaging tasks
using Altiris, such as capturing a copy of an installed OS and deploying
an image to a target server.
Before you begin
Before deploying an OS image to a target server, you might
need to perform RAID configuration on the server. To run the Capture
Windows image sample job,
Altiris Agent must
be installed on the donor system. The scripted OS installation jobs
provided by the
Toolkit automatically
install
Altiris Agent.
Procedure
To modify the file name and location of the captured
image, perform the following steps:
- Double-click the Capture Windows Image job.
- Select the Create Disk Image task,
and click Modify.
- Change the path and file name for the captured image.
- Click Finish to save.
- Double-click the Deploy Windows Image job.
- Select the Distribute Disk Image task,
and click Modify.
- Change the path and file name to the same values used above
for the captured image.
- Click Finish to save the changes.
