For convenience, the ServerGuide Scripting Toolkit, Windows edition includes the UpdateXpress System Pack Installer (UXSPi) to help you acquire
updates to include in your deployment scenarios.
The
UXSPi can perform the
following functions:
- Acquire firmware and driver updates for supported machine type
and operating system combinations from a remote location, such as
the IBM support web site: http://www.ibm.com/support.
- Inventory a system to be updated and compare the inventory to
the list of available updates, and then recommend and deploy a set
of updates for the system.
- Create bootable media on CD-ROM, DVD, or USB key to use in applying
firmware to supported systems.
