This procedure describes how to update Advanced Settings Utility for ServerGuide Scripting Toolkit, Windows Edition.
You need the following files and resources to update the
ASU executable file:
- The lnvgy_utl_asu_asutversion_windows_i686.exe file,
where version is the updated version of ASU.
- The lnvgy_utl_asu_asutversion_windows_x86-64.exe file,
where version is the updated version of ASU.
- A scripting toolkit source server.
Use the following procedure to update ASU when the ServerGuide Scripting Toolkit, Windows Edition requires
a new version.
- On the source server, navigate to ..\sgdeploy\SGTKWinPE\Bin\win32.
- Copy the lnvgy_utl_asu_asutversion_windows_i686.exe file
to that directory.
- Execute the file.
- When prompted, enter A to overwrite
all of the old files.
- When the update is complete, navigate to ..\sgdeploy\SGTKWinPE\Bin\winx64.
- Copy the lnvgy_utl_asu_asutversion_windows_x86-64.exe file
to that directory.
- Delete the asu.exe file.
- Execute lnvgy_utl_asu_asutversion_windows_x86-64.exe.
- When prompted, enter A to overwrite
all of the old files.
- Rename asu64.exe to asu.exe in
this directory.
