Receiving new servers from IBM

When you receive new servers from IBM®, save any printed materials and any CDs or DVDs that are in the box.

  1. Unpack and check the shipment to verify its accuracy.
  2. Locate the unique information about each server to use in its entry in the Configuration Manager database.
  3. Download the IBM Deployment Pack if you have not done so already.
  4. Install the IBM Deployment Pack onto the Configuration Manager site server, if it is not already installed.
