The following procedure describes the process for comparing
the firmware inventory on an ESXi system with the updates currently
in the update repository.
The following prerequisites are required to complete this
task.
Prerequisites
- You are running UpdateXpress System Pack Installer on
the local system to be updated.
- The system is running a supported operating system.
- On the command line, enter the UXSPI command
for comparing the firmware inventory of the target system with the
updates available in the repository.
Example:
lnvgy_utl_uxspi_10.6_winsrvr_32-64.exe compare -l local_folder_path -L
--vmware-esxi=https://userID:password@VMware_ESXi_host_IPaddress:port
UpdateXpress System Pack Installer compares the firmware
inventory of the target system to the updates available in the repository
and returns a recommendation of updates to apply.
